What to gather
The useful inputs for an accurate quote: recent dental X-rays (panoramic and/or individual), a CBCT 3D scan if you have one (important for implants), any existing treatment plan or quote you've received, and clear, well-lit photos of the teeth in question — front view and close-ups. Photos alone get you a useful ballpark; X-rays make the estimate precise. A brief note on your goals and any medical history rounds it out.
How to get your records
You're entitled to your own records. Ask your current dentist's office for copies of your X-rays and chart — most will email them or hand over a file, sometimes for a small copying fee, and they generally must provide them on request. If you don't have recent imaging, a local dentist or imaging center can take an X-ray or CBCT relatively cheaply, which is often worth it for an implant plan. Photos you can take yourself with a phone in good light.
Sharing it securely and getting the plan
Share files through a secure upload or the channel the coordinator provides rather than posting images publicly — these are personal health records. From there, the clinic reviews everything and returns a written, itemized estimate, usually followed by a virtual consult to confirm the plan and answer questions. That whole exchange happens before you commit to anything or book travel, so you're deciding on real numbers and a real plan. Start by sharing what you have through the quote form.
